About Toilsoundsystem
toilsoundsystem was an idea spawned from the imagination of a group of friends who disired to enjoy the atmosphere of dance music and the joys of the great outdoors.
Originally just a small gathering of people around a campfire with a battery operated tape player for entertainment, the spirit was only in it's infancy. Over the years it has grown to proportions we could have never dreamed of.
Our first 'outdoor party' was held at the Water Shedels in Stanbury near Haworth, using only household stereo equipment and an abandoned tent aquired from Glastonbury, it wasn't exactly of festival proportions but nonetheless the vibe was still there, so much so we did another the weekend after!
This was also where we got our name, 'Party in the hole' or as local dialect would translate 'Party in t'oil'
Our idea was now becoming a definite reality so we decided to step up a gear, and so the Wind Farm party was born. This was our first full scale party, over 300 people attended! The second one held a few summers ago, attracting more than 800, with guest Dj's such as Mick Beetle and Glowbones playing along side the toil regulars Captain Trenchfoot, Danaki, Tomski, Trouble Down't Pit and Phoenix.
As we all know too well, the British weather is very unforgiving, this is a major hindrance to organisers of outdoor raves so a solution was required. The Foxon brothers set about designing a dome which could hold enough people for a gathering of over 300 people, it was first put to the test last year for the New Year celebrations. It proved to be a complete success, everyone dry and more importantly everyone happy!
We would all like to thank everyone who has, and still is, supporting our dream, party on!
